Vitamin C for Sore Muscles After Isometric Workouts

When lifting weights (and especially when trying to put on mass), the 'goal' is 1.5g of protein per pound of body weight. That can be pretty hard to hit when eating a standard diet.

What classes are you taking for Fall 2009?

I'm an EE, starting my senior year- - Digital Signal Processing - Control Theory - Random Variables - Senior Project (Doing a FPGA-based speaker identification system) - Linear Algebra 2 (from Axler) I'm particularly excited about working on my senior project, as it touches on...

Artificial intelligence : where to begin

https://www.amazon.com/dp/1558604677/?tag=pfamazon01-20 This book covers a wide range of AI/MI topics, from a slightly more engineering-based perspective- a big theme throughout a majority of the book is autonomous mobile agents. It's a typical survey book in that it treats each subject very...

Misc. DIY Whiteboard: Affordable Alternatives for Your Home Office

I did the melmaline version a few years ago. A bit hard to erase (red markers were particularly bad), but it was very usable. I think it was 8x5 for ~$10.

Is there a generic transistor model for Capture CIS?

Do you have the BREAKOUT library? The models in there are very generic and the parameters you mentioned can be edited. For example, this a model I used for an assignment not too long ago- .model Mbreakn NMOS VTO=1 KP=4E-3 W=1 L=1 LAMBDA = .1 I'm pretty sure that's what you're looking for.

Designing a Simple Circuit - Ask for Feedback!

Are you expecting the motor to run at full speed for 5 seconds after the switch is opened? Is that realistic, given the way that a capacitor discharges?

    16-Year-Old Looking for Math/Physics Job

Your exact words were "..but I'm not a blue collar person"- that's how I got the impression you think blue collar work is below you, and that is a terrible mentality to have. My suggestion- get some experience with electronics and PC repair, try to land a job doing something along those...

Programs Physics major unable to get engineering internship

I'm from a town where a very large, well known heavy machinery manufacturer pretty much runs the show. We also have a small private university (where I attend) that has a good engineering program. No surprise, then, that many of our engineering students intern for either this corporation, or...

Comparing EE & CS: Which Major is Right for You?

For what it's worth, I'm a junior EE and I've learned to program in C, C++, Assembly for an 8051, VHDL, Java, Visual Basic, Matlab, and LISP. Trust me, there's a lot of programming in an EE curriculum.

Punk Legends: Ramones, Misfits, Dropkick Murphys & More

I was at Riot Fest in Chicago, which was one of the most awkward experiences of my life. Don't get me wrong, they had energy...but it seemed more 'rockstar' like than what I associate with punk. See, I'm from a smallish town in the Midwest, but we have a pretty unique 'scene'. We have...

Punk Legends: Ramones, Misfits, Dropkick Murphys & More

DOA was pretty good...back in the day. Hardcore '81 is a great record...but they seriously need to call it quits. Northern Avenger is awful, and their live show is downright embarassing. Maybe it was because Joey Keithley was playing his guitar behind his head every time he had the chance, or...

Punk Legends: Ramones, Misfits, Dropkick Murphys & More

Cosigned! Late Black Flag is criminally underrated. I'm also a big fan of oi, i think a lot of the up-and-coming kids miss out on a lot of great bands in that subgenere.

Which Engineering Field Should I Choose: Electrical or Computer Engineering?

It seems that every one of your posts are dissuading people to stay out of technical fields as it will be impossible to find a job after graduation. There is no need to spread such silly FUD. I'm a junior studying EE at a smaller private college in the Midwest, and our program graduates...
