High School Could a Cosmic Explosion Propel a Space Probe Beyond Our Solar System?
Hey :D This is pretty far fetched but If scientists could predict a cosmic explosion or something similar in the universe... could we not have a space probe near the explosion (not too near obviously) and use the imense force the whip the probe out our solor system and behond?- Mackay1011

High School Can the Hubble Telescope Detect Life on Distant Planets?
Looking at planets... Hi, not sure if this is the right area for such a post but... I was just thinking if the Hubble space telescope can see for millions of light years then why can't it look at stars from other solor systems and search for planets and the look at the planet for life? Can sulphuric acid corrode steel and granite?
I'm shocked that granite would just dissolve when mixed with sulphuric acid I thought it would just make it weak so if you dropped it from 50ft it would smash. So what types of steel are the strongest? I am not talking like 2ft block of steel just a 1.5" sheet. Which types of steel would it have...- Mackay1011

Can sulphuric acid corrode steel and granite?
Well I aint in prison for a start lol I am just curious when I see things on T.V I like to find out if it would really work. Well the sulphuric acid would be 100% pure, the acid is kept in a glass bottle and would it work if I poured it on the same place a few times? When I say poke through it I...- Mackay1011

Can sulphuric acid corrode steel and granite?
HI, if I put some sulphuric acid on a 1.5" sheet of reinforced steel how long would it take until I could just poke the corroded area and it would go through? Also if I had a 4" sheet of granit and poured it on that would it corrode? And how long would it take? Pretty random question I know...- Mackay1011

Graduate Can a Gravity Shield Allow for Superfast Travel?
oh, i just remembered my mate told me that light has been slowed down to just 60mph before? true? and once it reached 60 mph when it was finished being slowed down would it resume its normal speed 186,000 miles per second lol, still can't get my head round that, or would it stay at 60 mph?- Mackay1011

Graduate Can a Gravity Shield Allow for Superfast Travel?
no, I don't really understand when I read it on the net anyway, well I am going to stop thinking about this sort of stuff now, and hopefully in the next 50 years we will see how much progress we have made with speed and distance travel. Cya malawi glenn and thanks for answer all my q's- Mackay1011
