Learn VSEPR Theory: Carbon & Oxygen Bonding
okay so I am learning the Valence bond theory and the VSEPR theory in chemistry. and so far its been going well. but i don't understand how carbon and oxygen combine together forming a triple boond creating CO (carbon monoxide) because we only have 4 valence carbon electrons so how can it form...- Maz88

Medical Only 5-6.5 hours of sleep is ideal?
i truly believe that sleep time totally depends on the individual. some people can function perfectly at 4 hours of sleep (my sister), yet others such as myself need 8. i cannot function at all when i sleep for only 6 hours. i feel fatigued the whole day and i feel like my eyes are going to pop...- Maz88

Courses Is it worth retaking this course?
gard school definitely care about what other courses you take. in fact, they view English as an important course. see here in Canada, they would be able to see that you took the course twice however, if there were some major improvement ( so for example if you went from a D to a B or even an...- Maz88

Replacement Bodies: Near or Far Away?
see what you are raising is definitely something interesting. i think in general, i would be better for humans to not understand why certain things function the way they do. and if we ever to reach a point were we transfer memories or able to do what you mentioned then there is no purpose in...- Maz88

Volume and Diameter Increase of Balloon in Stratosphere: Physical Chem Question
youre right you need to consider pressure, but i think that since its not mentioned in the question then you got to assume that it is constant.- Maz88

Volume and Diameter Increase of Balloon in Stratosphere: Physical Chem Question
dont use pv=nrt here take as you have a volume temperature relationship so it would be v1/t1=v2/t2 and your t1 should be 293K (20 Celsius) and your t2 would be 270K assuming that the conditions in the stratosphere are at STP. and of course your v1 is 0 and your v2 is unknown :) hope it...- Maz88

Why Do Stronger Bonds Mean Lower Energy?
its the other way around, visualize potential energy as something that is there but is not used (which makes it pointless for this specific reason). this means that if an object has a greater potential energy then it would have less kinetic energy, thus making it weaker. SO you need to have...- Maz88

Bicycle Forces in Circular Motion
to answer b, you need to find the force applied by the biker (f=ma) then to get fnet you need to add the force applied + the force of friction. but keep in mind that the force of friction would be negative since it is going the opposite direction :)- Maz88
