Sizing a Pressurizer for PWR: Problem & Resource Guide
when the temp rises the liquid volume should decrease because pressure increases and more steam is produced. This is making more since now! If I find the before and after specific volumes of the steam and water I can find how large the pressurizer needs to be so that it can handle a 1% pressure...- megr_ftw

Sizing a Pressurizer for PWR: Problem & Resource Guide
i found the mass of steam and water in the pressurizer and multiplying them by their corresponding specific volumes I got a volume of 8000 ft^3 which is the volume of the primary loop, so obviously I did something wrong- megr_ftw

Simple vapor power plant (thermo I)
I have a simple vapor power plant with a boiler, turbine, condenser and pump. I have the pressures leaving the boiler, entering the turbine, leaving the turbine and entering the condenser, leaving the condenser and entering the pump. I also have the temps for the above except I have the quality...- megr_ftw

Undergrad Distribution with pmf and rand. variables.
okay the profit for k=2 i got 3.8 when i am calculating it for when k=3 is this equation correct? -1(3)+2(.1*1+.2*3.8+.4*3.8+.3*3.8) i may be going off a longshot but i used the profit from k=2 for the values of x in this equation. I just want to make sure I am doing k=3 right so i can figure...- megr_ftw

Undergrad Distribution with pmf and rand. variables.
i don't think its open ended, because R_k= -1k+2*Y_k since R_k is the profit could i simply find the expected value is 1, 2, or 3 are sold that's it?- megr_ftw
