I have been studying for the physics gre for a couple months now and can't seem to do better then getting 40/100; I have taken all but the 2008 physics gre test. I am taking a gap year so would it be a bad idea to move my test date to April instead of doing poorly in October and taking the test...
So I've been apart of a research group for the ~1.5 years and am in the process of getting a paper published although I'll be 2nd or 3rd author. How much does it impact me if I don't do an REU? I'm currently a 3rd year student and I plan on graduating in 4 years.
Alright, so I programmed a fractal in emacs and used the terminal on my mac to compile it and it compiles and everything but it outputs the coordinates. I want to output a image from my fractal program so could you guys help me out with that? Any advice would be awesome
I looked at these books online and they look pretty helpful and I will probably get them, but is there a good free way to learn programming or should I go with the book.
I just got out of college for the summer and moved back home so I do not have access to the school library
Alright guys so I just finished my freshmen intro course in c++ and I found it interesting. This course only taught up to classes and file i/o. I want to learn more of c++ and overall many more programs. How do I teach myself c++ more indepth or are there any free sites you recommend to learn it...
Haha thank you for correcting that. I understand that I need to change my gpa, what I meant is that I need to change my study habits so that I can improve the way I learn which would immensely improve my education and gpa.
I appreciate the input, I'm not looking to get into a top grad school per say, I would just like to get into a good one. I understand that I need to change my study habits.
I understand what you guys are saying, but I took my finals and although my grades are not finalized, I estimated them to be 2 C's and an A, I know that I need to ask questions in class and change how I study. But I am curious, if I can change these and pull my grades up to A's and B's, do I...
Alright so I know that I am thinking far into the future here but I think it is necessary. I am a freshman in college and I am a physics major but my grades are poor. My first semester I got 2 C's(physics and math) because I did not study a lot. This semester I'm doing better, I'll get an A in...
I am currently a physics undergrad and I thought I was good at physics. In high school I was pretty proficient in physics and got good grades without studying. My first semester in college I got 2 C's (in calc and physics) but that was because I did not study a lot. This semester I thought I was...
I was talking to a friend recently when he said he thinks about math like sentences and when he sees formulas he acts like he is speed reading through a book, although this did not really make much sense to me, it must make a lot of sense to him because he is great at math. This just got me...
