How Does Friction Affect a Rotating Disk on an Inclined Plane?
why then rotation of the disk decreases and stops at a time while it crawls up? As you said, rotating body doesn't change the angular momentum of its own, only if some external torque applied on it .Which force is supplying this torque??- mmainak

How Does Friction Affect a Rotating Disk on an Inclined Plane?
Actually I am a bit confused with the direction of the frictional force acting on a rotating disk on an inclined plane. I need to find the direction of frictional force on the rotating disk both the cases when it is going up and coming down under the action of an impulsive force applied on...- mmainak

Refocusing of paraxial electron from electron gun
Homework Statement Electrons emitted with negligible speed from an electron gun are accelerated through a potential difference v along the X-axis. These electrons emerge from a narrow hole into a uniform magnetic field B directed along this axis. However, some of the electrons emerging from the...- mmainak

Is the angular span of a body executing s.h.m always 2.pi?
yes that was mistaken . sorry dia 1 is the original one given in the problem instead of l.a it should be l.(pi/2 -a) but that will not make the answer. how can i proceed then ?- mmainak

Is the angular span of a body executing s.h.m always 2.pi?
Here I have uploaded two diagram of this problem. here I have approximated a,b being small r= l.a r sin\vartheta=l.b hence \vartheta =sin -1b/a well I also feel that I have over-approxiamted this problem . Is there any other way I can proceed?- mmainak
