    Quick Question about anti-particles.

Is it true that they have negative kinetic energy; wouldn't this mean that they have imaginary velocities? I'm sure I've read this somewhere but I just need to confirm if it's true or not.

Are you from the UK, USA or Canada?

I'm not going to name every single country, I did this poll to see what the ratio of British to non-British is. So it's actually a very effective poll.

Are you from the UK, USA or Canada?

I should have put more English speaking countries like Australia and New Zealand. But they're more like holiday resorts than actual countries so they don't count :)

Theoretical Physics vs Physics (UK student)

Wow, the 150k has really got me interested. Would a maths graduate be more employable than a physics graduate for financial careers? If so I'm toying with the idea of Maths and Physics joint honours instead of theoretical. Thanks for all the advice btw!

What physically happens to the object as it increases in mass

So it's mass is always the same from the objects 'point of view' and only changes to an observer? Could somebody explain why this is (in non layman terms)

Theoretical Physics vs Physics (UK student)

I'm having to decide which degree to take now and can't really make my mind up between straight Physics or Theoretical. I will be applying to Oxford, Bristol, Manchester, Imperial and Nottingham if anyone cares. Just wondering what peoples thoughts are on the 'Physics with Theoretical...

What physically happens to the object as it increases in mass

What physically happens to the object as it increases in mass (when its velocity increases). Where does the matter come from that allows it's mass to increase?

Are you from the UK, USA or Canada?

Just wondering where most people on this forum are from. Obviously most will be from America. When I first came on I just assumed everyone was from the UK so I want to know more specifically now.

I get random radio broadcasts coming from my logitech speakers when they are turned on but with no volume. Why is this?

Feynman Lectures: Is It Worth The Money?

It was a random act of madness while browsing ebay. It's better than spending it on food and drink.

Feynman Lectures: Is It Worth The Money?

Okay I've just paid £50 for the feynman lectures on ebay, waiting for it in the post. Anyone here have it and can tell me whether I've wasted my money (i'm 17 and havn't even started learning particle physics yet, I've just finished AS levels). Am I going to understand it or not? Also is...

Engineering, maths and physics. Which one to do?

Engineering, maths and physics. Which one to do? I've been considering doing engineering for a while but am worried about the flexibility of universities to let you change course. If I decided to do mechanical engineering but then realized I preferred electrical/aerospace at the start of course...

    Short & simple viscosity question

The density was given as 1200 kg m-3, temperature was an average of 21 degrees C. My only error source is parrallax error. But my % error was 10.7%. I can't really try it but I'll mention the watch glass thing in my evaluation, thanks.

    Short & simple viscosity question

It's abit lengthy and I'm pretty sure it's right, I just need to know whether water evaporates from glycerol if you leave it out without a lid.
