Hi
For keeping with full disclosure - I hope to use this information to determine the need for an idea I've had that would make the lives of maths/physics students easier.
I have just two questions I hope you can answer...
What software do you use for taking notes during lectures and...
Actually - the orders of magnitude app will be so simple. In fact it would be too simple for the type of project I'm doing. Something with the future of the Universe thing will be great but can't think of what exactly would make a good app out of that.
What I like in Science/Physics is the cool stuff. How you can travel in time by moving at fast speeds, the bigness of everything out there and the future of the Universe.
I'm usually not interested in abstract things like developing a gravity simulator - my understanding of physics is that...
Hi
I rarely have a background in physics (yet!)
But based on my popular knowledge I understand that the Universe is 'expanding' in a loose sense of the word - which basically equates to the fact new space is being created all the time which in turn resembles a Universe where the distances...
The speed of light is a constant. Yet the Universe's expansion seems to be getting faster and faster.
So my question is, when the speed of the expansion of the Universe reaches C the speed of light, what happens. Does it remain at that speed? Does it exceed it? Or does it slow down?
I think I know the things you're referring to, I'll say them again...
"It's impossible for one individual to carry out a project like this on a limited budget"
I don't think it's impossible, and if I later find out that there's a part of it which is impossible without a multi-million dollar...
I will explore the links you've given in detail, and thank you very much for it.
One more point, I'm not in the US, in the UK actually. And from what I hear laws forbidding things like this aren't as strict.
I believe I can do this as impossible as it sounds. Who knows, as undoubtable as it...
Oh my goodness.
I'm willing to put in the work, but to work on a hopeless endeavour for months without knowing it's not going anywhere would be silly. The answer to my question will help me understand the feasibility.
Also, yes we can assume the fuel is weightless. I'm not planning to launch...
I absolutely get that the rocket needs to be designed which is why I'm looking for a total and complete approximation. A small rocket but let's say the whole thing payload + the rocket's materials weigh 50kg.
Let's ASSUME for now the fuel will be weightless and adding it to the rocket will not...
That is sort of my aim. I want my career to be something other than abstract code for people's websites and software. Being a robotocist allows for innovation and what is built does use the software side of it a little bit to program the robot, but it is a physical manifestation rather than...
What careers can a computer science graduate get into other than the obvious software/ web development?
Are there any careers with less computer work and more human interaction lol, and a more mixed workforce.
From experience, workplaces in this field are hugely dominated by men to the...
Thanks, yeah, I was meaning to look into the Tsiolkovsky rocket equation but got sidetracked by some other replies in that thread.
From a brief look into it - looks like it will take a lot of work for me to be able to fully 'get' these equations. I'm sure it can all be put into actual...
