Undergrad Why do galaxies and solarsystems form disks?
In galaxy formations/collisions and planetary dust from newborn solar systems, they begin with an irregularly shaped cloud of matter. But why, over their lifetime, do they form a disk shape? In the case of spiral galaxies and planet orbits.- Nova

Graduate Does Antimatter exist in the universe anymore?
But antimatter and matter share the same properties right? So wouldn't it not make sense due to law of conservation?- Nova

Graduate Does Antimatter exist in the universe anymore?
If Antimatter was completely annihilated after the Big Bang, how is it that we have studied it. As well as artificially created it? If we can't create normal matter, why would we be able to create antimatter? And since we can, why doesn't it immediately get annihilated from the contact of the...- Nova

Undergrad Speed of Galaxies: Defying Physics?
If the galaxies are all moving away at speeds of the big bang "explosion" which was moving at speeds defying physics. Because nothing could have altered that speed, should'nt galaxies be moving at the same speed?- Nova

Undergrad Can Black Holes Increase in Mass?
It is confirmed that Black Holes have variations of masses. But these masses are said to be gained from the base mass from the Supernova it's born from. Another way a Black hole gained mass was that the collisions of multiple Black Holes caused it to add on to the mass of each other, such as...- Nova

Undergrad Would the outer planets in our solar system survive a supernova event?
So let's say that our entire solar system is brought to size so that the sun is big enough to produce a supernova. For one, it would die out faster. and most likely not be able to exist to see it. And if it did go supernova, the inner planets would be either annihilated by the blast, or thrown...- Nova

Undergrad Why do some nebulae form into stars while others remain diffuse?
Since Nebulae are in "cloud" like structures, why does it not form itself into a sphere based on the highest density of which the largest amount of mass is held? resembling an extremely large gas planet.- Nova
