Group Theory Book for QFT - Suggestions?
I am reading QFT from Srednicki's book. In the 2nd chapter of this book and in the spin half part of this book, group theory and group representation theory is used. Can you suggest me a book from where I can learn this?- omephy

Graduate Unitary spacetime translation operator
Srednicki eqn. (2.23) and (2.24) states: We can make this a little fancier by defining the unitary spacetime translation operator T(a) \equiv \exp(-iP^\mu a_\mu/ \hbar) Then we have T(a)^{-1} \phi(x) T(a) = \phi(x-a) How do we get the second equation from the first equation?- omephy

Looking for book on Introduction to QFT
Srednicki's book is very frustrating for a beginner who is studying it without any teachers help. Peskin or Ryder is good for starting QFT. Srednicki uses \phi^3 theory and there are no additional resources available on the net compatible with this book. You may find some class notes/slides...- omephy

Graduate Deriving Srednicki eqn. (9.19)
It is not a homework problem. Srednicki uses \phi^3 theory and therefore its diagrammatic representation is quite different from the books written in \phi^4 theory. so, I can't even consult other books to derive that equation or to understand the underlying concept. So, I have asked for help.- omephy

Graduate What are the disconnected Feynman diagrams in QFT?
I am learning QFT from Srednicki's book. However, in Figure 9.2 Srednicki has given all connected diagrams with E=0 and V=4. Are there any way to know the disconnected diagrams? Can you tell me what they are.- omephy

Discovering Alternative References for Studying Srednicki's QFT
Ryder, Zee and Peskin --- this trio are written in $\phi^4$ theory. I don't have any problem with the $\phi^4$ theory but my course teacher is follwing Srednicki. Srednicki is very terse and often leaves out detail discussions let alone the calculations. Srednicki is written in $\phi^3$ theory...- omephy

Discovering Alternative References for Studying Srednicki's QFT
I am studying Srednicki' QFT. What I have found is that this book is very terse. And the author often leaves out most of the calculations. Most importantly, this book is written using phi-cubed theory. Can you suggest me another references written using the phi-cubed theory as I can use it as a...- omephy

I vote for Advanced Engineering Mathematics by Allan Jeffrey. And also for the book of the same name by Greenberg. These books are clear and readily accessible.- omephy
