Finding Reentry Aerodynamics Characteristics
aero, chiming into agree with boneh3ad, who has been very patient with your questions. If you're really interested, you first might learn the basics of aerodynamics and the modeling of, which can take a lot of reading and math and possibly college courses. Luckily, that can be a fascinating...- PaulK2

Undergrad Solving a Physics Problem: Ladder Facing a Wall
Agreeing with Scott, it seems good to solve the original static problem. Chester's diagram on the first page sums it up (although for the way I think about it, I'd add a horizontal force at the foot of the ladder, exerted by the ground, which is what's asked for in the original question). -
Aircraft model in a wind tunnel and the full size version
To add, you could certainly use a full-size "model" and simply observe the real behavior of the aircraft, as long as the tunnel was large enough and could handle the air velocities needed. But depending on the project, you may want to build variations of a model and that could be a lot of...- PaulK2

Help with Picking a DC motor for Electric Handcart
It seems that the wheels would need to be fixed and non-rotating, to do a powered handcart. Right? Freewheeling works great when the force is applied on the handle. So maybe the three wheel units become something like a three lobed, solid shape?- PaulK2

What sparked your interest in engineering and how has it evolved over the years?
Hi, I just stumbled on this site and saw some interesting discussions. I'm a fallen-away engineering student that got caught up in software years ago, but still love real engineering. :-) Paul- PaulK2
