What would happen if I pinch my nose while I sneeze?
hey everyone, I currently have an ear infection. I'm watching to see if it gets better and it seems like yesterday was the worst of it. Today it's better: I can completely clinch my jaw with minimal pain. I think I'll be ok by Tuesday, but I'm curious about something. I'm curious what would...- pctopgs

High School Trying to understand function transformations
Sorry I'm having some technical difficulties posting. I know about the transformations, but I wanted to ask if these are axioms or if they can be proven. f(x)= x^2+3 moves the graph 3 units up. This makes sense be caus f(x)=y, but why does putting parentheses around 'x^2+3' magically make the...- pctopgs

High School Trying to understand function transformations
Hey guys, This isn't a homework question but i learned about it in school. I'm trying to gain a more fundamental understanding or function transformations. that's the typical parent function for example: f(x)=x^2 I would move the function 3 units up, I would write it lil this: g(x)=x^2+3- pctopgs

Why is the rpm not matching the hertz on my generator's wiring diagram?
This isn't homework, but I wasn't sure where to post this question I'm tasked with troubleshooting a generator that's not producing enough voltage. I pretty much traced the low voltage back to the generator. I want to solve the problem with the generator myself, but when I looked at the wiring...- pctopgs

Is DNA Information? A Look Into Biologists' Perspectives
Hey guys, I have to bring this post back because I got some news on the subject. OK the reason I started this thread is because someone is claiming that dna is a "Language" used to convey "information" that same way that English is a language used to convey information...And those used it to...- pctopgs

The difference between wants, needs and desires?(Economics)
I agree with much of what you said, but I never thought myself as having special knowledge on anything. It seems like you're twisting something that's not even my main question into a straw-man. Advertisers do seek to make consumers more obligated to get what they are selling, do they not?- pctopgs

The difference between wants, needs and desires?(Economics)
Hey guys, I was in an argument with someone about economics. I told him that advertisers want confuse a consumer's need with his/her want by making the wants more desirable. The person then asked me what's the difference between the three, but I was surprised that I couldn't give a clear...- pctopgs

ERCC2, Mutation, and Evolution?
According the the wiki, the gene is essential to the cell (at least in mammals/vertebrates)...I was thinking that the repairing gene can only detect and repair certain types of mutations...Sorry but I have a limited capacity on the subject.- pctopgs

ERCC2, Mutation, and Evolution?
hey guys, sorry for coming here with these potentially stupid topics, but tbo, this is the closest thing I have to biologists or biology enthusiasts on the subject. My question came from creationist who does not accept evolution...He says that evolution is false because mutations are repaired...- pctopgs

Evolution: New Species and Old Species?
Thanks for the response, but I did say population of mammals. This is besides the point and I thought elaborating on it would be unnecessary since we all know it. :) Yeah thanks again for the reply, but if the human species was to evolve into a new species then does "Human" get reclassified as...- pctopgs
