Python Coding Riemann (0,4) Equation in Python - Help Needed!
As someone with a limited knowledge of this but a interest(having viewed a number of videos on Einstein field equations and Susskind's lectures on relativity) I am interested to see someone actually using the equations with I assume real numbers to generate some sort of out put. The videos I...- pedro the swift

Intelligent Computer Systems....
Ah yes, my forgetfullness. It is indeed the "Forbin project" Been many years and much scfi since then. Not sure if the computer/AI in that was actually malevolent or decided humans weren't to be trusted to control themselves with atomics. I did spend some time in thought experiments in how to...- pedro the swift

Can a Death Star weapon actually be built?
Far more practical to use a kinetic energy weapon like a diverted asteroid at as close as possible to light speed. Read scfi story "Footfall".- pedro the swift

Intelligent Computer Systems....
Great example of AI gone wrong. Read/view "The Corbin Project". As for weaponed robots, how do you decide who has won a conflict if both sides have similar(tech. will match after all) robots blazing away at each other while humans watch. Is it last robot standing or who has more manufacturing...- pedro the swift

The World of Aliens: Seeing Beyond Human Vision
Why would these aliens not understand Eulers equation if they are several hundred years advanced. Maths doesn't differeniate(no pun). Should be the same everywhere. If not then we are all in trouble.- pedro the swift

How to Reach a 8.6 Lightyear Star in 60 Years?
Check out the Frank Herbert "Dune" series of books. He had a great way to overcome interstellar distances with the use of "melange" and special "navigators".- pedro the swift

Automatic Voltage regulator rating
An AVR??just what is that in this application? Use a 220V to 110V transformer rating 2 to 2.5 KVA. Probably won't be cheap or light. Can't understand why you would import a 110v Appliance anyway. Are they not available in your location at the correct voltage? And $700? is it gold plated?. We can...- pedro the swift

Undergrad Comparing Water and Ice Melting for fighting fires
Greetings, Don't know about using ice to fight fires but I had a idea some time ago(Ii do have them sometimes) that a possible way of fire fighting is to use dirt, Thinking mainly of bush fires and places where water is scarce. My idea was to use some kind of machinery to project a large...- pedro the swift

High School How Do High-Speed Objects Traverse High-Temperature Gaseous Nebulas?
Greetings, I read with interest some of the reports and studies of the "measurement" of the temperature of interstellar gases(H2, O2 etc) surrounding some gaseous nebulas(nebulae). Some reported temps. are in the thousands of degs. K. I was wondering how a solid object traveling at high speed...- pedro the swift
