High School How to get the typical value or typical data from the dataset
Thank you very much for your explanation. Do you known whether the "typical data" isn't also agreed upon definition in statistics. I have checked that the mean and median approximate in the dataset. But it is found that the some theoretical results has been out of the range [median - std...- Pengtaofu

High School How to get the typical value or typical data from the dataset
Thank you for explanation. When I studied the statistics course at uinivesity many years ago, I thought statistics is one subject of scietific. However, I have recently realized the there are a lot of subjective factors to affect the results in statistics.- Pengtaofu

High School How to get the typical value or typical data from the dataset
Thank you for explanation and remind of the word "suspended". I acknownledge that use of "suspended" is not right. It should be replaced by ask, i.e. "one expert has asked whether the median is typical value."- Pengtaofu

High School How to get the typical value or typical data from the dataset
I make a theoretical calculation and then compare the calculation result and the median of the corresonding measured dateset. The difference between them is very slight, so I state that the theoretical model is right and good. However one expert has suspended whether the median is typical...- Pengtaofu

Fission products released from failed fuel rods in a PWR
Thank you very much for the remind and I agree with you. 5.5 kW/ft (180 W/cm) is indeed the average linear power. The average linear power can reach to 9.1 kW/ft (1.65 F∆Η) and 13.8 kW/ft (2.5 FQ) in the extreme conditions and may be the similar range.- Pengtaofu

Fission products released from failed fuel rods in a PWR
Thank you very much. I think your rich experience will be much helpful. Prof. Brent is a very famous expert and has publised a series of paper on the fission product release from failed fuel. I have discussed with Prof. Brent about fission product release from failed fuel rods but it is not very...- Pengtaofu

Fission products released from failed fuel rods in a PWR
There are a lot of fission products accumulated in the fuel pellet and gap in the fuel cladding during PWR operation. Howeve, some iodine and noble gas will release to the primary loops in case of fuel failure. The fission product release rate can be described as the escape rate coefficient...- Pengtaofu

Fuel rod leak (failure) frequency
I didn't log in the web and have researched some experience with fuel rod failure in PWR. The fuel rod failure rate has decreased significantly, just as Astronuc said. And IAEA publications (http://www-pub.iaea.org/MTCD/Publications/PDF/te_1345_web/t1345_part1.pdf) and...- Pengtaofu

Information of secondary neutron source in French PWR
Thank you very much for providing so much useful information and document. There are some clues about configuration of Westinghouse-type secondary sources assembly and the most univesal configuration contains 4 source rod, which could been foungd at Page 25/56 in document Integrity of...- Pengtaofu

Watts Bar Unit 2: Impact on Industry?
Watts bar-2 has came into commercial operation in October 2016. By the way, the PWR model of Watts bar-2 is W(4-loop) (ICECND) according to IAEA-PRIS website(https://www.iaea.org/PRIS/CountryStatistics/ReactorDetails.aspx?current=699). I know the W(4-loop) means PWR with 4 loops, however what...- Pengtaofu

Recommend journals to publish about radiation proteciton
I plan to publish submit a piece of publication about research on tritium produciton and discharge in PWR. It should be classified into nuclear engineering or radiation protection? Could you help to recommend some magzines of SCI or EI? It's better if the magzine has a fast period of reviewing...- Pengtaofu

Neutron flux in coolant and fuel pin in PWR
In PWR, fast neutron produced from fission in fuel has been moderated into thermal neutron by the a series of collisiion with coolant,i.e. H2O. So the multi-group neutron flux in coolant and fuel pin has much diffenrce, e.g. the relative higher fast neutron in fuel pin and relative higher...- Pengtaofu
