Undergrad Force between capacitor plates
What will happen to the force between the capacitor plates (Will increase or decrease or remain constant) if we introduce a dielectric between them? As per the answer given the physics textbook , the force will remain same? But as per my understanding the force should decrease since electrical...- Prateek Kumar Jain

Undergrad Electrostatic Potential: Value at zero distance from charge
I understand Battery terminals are not points. But they create a driving force for electrons to move in an Electric Circuit. If you see the above figure copied from "http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/chemical/electrochem.html". I don't understand how potential is created in the...- Prateek Kumar Jain

Undergrad Electrostatic Potential: Value at zero distance from charge
Formula for Electrostatic Potential due to a point charge is V=1/4π∈ Q1 Q2/r This implies that at r=0 value of the potential should be infinity. Is it True. If that is the case then how we say the terminals of a battery having positive and negative charge are having definite value of...- Prateek Kumar Jain

High School Finding range of a projectile from a graph
Range of the Projectile fired at an angle θ from the ground with an initial velocity Vi is given by So Range is proportional to square of initial velocity keeping angle of projection θ as constant. But I don't understand your question. Which graph you are talking about?- Prateek Kumar Jain

Undergrad What is the difference between entropy reversibility and irreversibility?
A cup of tea gets cooled in an environment from a temperature of 50°C to 25°C. What is the process involved.. The cup of tea (System) is at a temperature of 50 °C and the room air (Surrounding) is at a temperature of say 25°C. Now Heat flows from high temperature to low temperature. So heat is...- Prateek Kumar Jain

Graduate What is Electrical Field in a Closed surface with no charge
I agree and now I understand my mistake that I was considering Electric Field to be normal to each and every surface element of the Sphere which is not so. Hence Electric Field at the Gaussian surface (Sphere) will not be zero. Thank you for your explanation Mr. Dale and Delta- Prateek Kumar Jain

Graduate What is Electrical Field in a Closed surface with no charge
As per the Gauss Law , Net Flux Electric Field through a closed Surface (Gaussian Surface) is zero if no charge is enclosed. As per the definition of the Electrical Flux = Electrical Field Intensity dot product Area Vector i.e. Closed Integral of E.S If Electrical Flux is zero then as per the...- Prateek Kumar Jain
