How Do Magnetic Fields Influence Needle Behavior in Scientific Experiments?
Homework Statement suppose a bar magnet is brought near a magnetic needle in a way that does not disturb the latter's position in the magnetic meridian. What can be said concerning the direction of the field due to the magnet? 2. Would reversing the position of the magnet has any effects on...- qomoco

Momentum, elastically collisino, velocity
bottom of swing velocity = 3.96m/s(if I did right) (3.96)(.2)=.2(x)+.4(y) x y are the velocities, not sure how to do next now.- qomoco

Momentum, elastically collisino, velocity
Homework Statement A 0.200-kg mass is attached of a 0.800 m length string to form a pendulum. The pendulum is released from a horizontal position. At the bottom of its swing, it collides elastically with a 0.400-kg mass which is at rest on a horizontal, frictionless v surface. Find the...- qomoco

An 80kg diver falls from a board into water 44m below the water.
the acceleration should be gravity? so 9.8m/s^2 but I don't know what's the accelerated motion formula. umm. I took square root of (9.8x44x2) and got 29.36s but that's not right, the answer my teacher gave was 2.98s... can't figure out what I did wrong.- qomoco
