Undergrad Can a Very Long Rope Stretch from Earth to Sun?
well yes but if all your trying to do is answer his question we can pretend that it exist as long as he knows that the only way his hypothesis would work is if this incompressible rod did exist. Is it stupid to say. yes. but this the way to answer the question. So we answer the question and get...- R34p3r

Undergrad Can a Very Long Rope Stretch from Earth to Sun?
Well do what a lot of scientist do pretend it exist. What if this mystical magical perfectly rigid material did exist. what would happen if there was such a thing then what would happen i think that's what the guy wants to know. Honestly i don't know what would happen i would definitely...- R34p3r

Undergrad Can a Very Long Rope Stretch from Earth to Sun?
But what if the rope was made out of a completely uncompressable material. Like what if the rope was actually just a huge metal rod that was theoreticaly unable to be compressed woudn't that mean that he would feel it instantaneously. Because the only way for it to go would be to him wouldn't it...- R34p3r

Graduate What Causes the Observer Effect in Wave-Particle Duality?
and for the going through both slits is actually exaculy what happens it goes through both until you add the observer then it goes through one. and i need to know I am just starting to become obbsessed so if anyone out there knows using mahamtics words whatever i don't care if i don't understand...- R34p3r

Graduate What Causes the Observer Effect in Wave-Particle Duality?
I have a question about an expirement that i saw yesturday in my physics class. They were shooting electrons one at a time at a wall on a video. They watched it and it showed a wave pattern on the sheet and it said that even when one electron goes through it still goes through both slits and so...- R34p3r

Scientists achieve highest temp. on Earth - over 100x Sun's core
So what if it only last for a few nanoseconds i mean think of the first flight it was a very insignifigant amount of time that would do almost nothing sept prove flight was possible. Now that they have doen it they can work on improving it and making it last longer and longer until it can last...- R34p3r

Scientists achieve highest temp. on Earth - over 100x Sun's core
That is awsome i don't know why it is but it is mabey this will become one of those things that is just awesome and mabey if they find the cause of it. mabey they can find a way to reverse it to and reach absolute zero how cool would that be- R34p3r

Graduate Quantum Mechanics: Can You Pass Through Walls?
There is actually a probability that you will go through the wall but like what said its very very small if say the flash hit himself at the wall as fast as he could for the entire age of the universe he still wouldn't have gotten through it yet. it isn't 0 it is extremely close to 0 so its possible- R34p3r

Bullets & Gravity: How High Will It Go?
yeah it will go up as high as it can it becomes a projectile you can get those equations just by looking up in wikipedia. but it will come down at the same velocity that it went up at.- R34p3r

High School Understanding the Physics Behind Dropping a Tennis Ball While Driving
yeah The reason it so called flys back is that you in your car are moving at 40 mph. Now the ball while in your hand is moving 40 mph. When you let it go the ball then quickly decelerates due to friction and air resistance. so the ball slows down and you keep going your 40 mph. Now with no air...
