Who's good at identifying bugs ?
I found it in my reservoir tank in my aquaponics system. It probably got drained out from the "grow bed". A grow bed is a gravel-filled container where plants will be growing. The grow bed constantly gets flooded with water from a fish tank via water pump and then drains into a reservoir...- Raizy

High School How well does aluminum foil block radiation?
I bought one of them grow lights for hydroponics recently - 400 watts Metal Halide and I wanted to know if a makeshift aluminum foil wall would be good enough to block out the radiation coming from the lamp. I know the outer glass shell of the light bulb already acts as a filter but i just want...- Raizy

Building an Aquaponics System at Home: Questions & Considerations
I'm making a small-scale aquaponics system at home (except I'm not eating the fish). There might be some random chemicals that will probably leech into the water from the materials I used (plumbing parts degrading/oxidizing, etc.), or had directly added (I used household ammonia to begin the...- Raizy

Anyone familiar with OCZ's Neural Impulse Actuator?
Mainly, I'm only curious about the nifty device's function for reading "brain waves" shown at 5:00 in this video: It only cost like 120 bucks. What do you folks think? Are there any neuroscientists on here that know if the readings are accurate enough for amateur analysis on one's self...- Raizy

Not really a question, basic physics instructions (book error?)
In this pic: http://img268.imageshack.us/i/imgp2719d.jpg/ I couldn't follow what's in the red box. I just hope anyone on here could look through it and tell me if there is some error in there. If not, then I feel stupid.- Raizy

What If Newton and Einstein Were Alive Today?
Imagine Tesla with his hundreds of patents ? I bet the oil company would of assassinated him. Poor guy, suppressed in his time, and yet again in the 21st century.- Raizy
