Easy angular velocity question
Homework Statement A solid disk with a radius of 1.4cm is a rest. The disk has 2.0m of string wound on to its circumference. The string is pulled off the disk by a constant force in a time of 7.3s. What is the final angular velocity of this disk? Homework Equations v = r*ω The...- renob

Subspace of Polynomials: \vec{}p(t)=a+t^2, where a is real
Oh so since the coefficient of t2 is 1, t2 will never be multiplied by the scalar 0, and thus the entire vector never equals 0? What confuses me is that why can't we assume both a=0 and t=0? or alternatively, why can't we multiply both sides of P(t)=a + t2 by the zero vector?- renob

Subspace of Polynomials: \vec{}p(t)=a+t^2, where a is real
Homework Statement Determine if all polynomials of the form \vec{}p(t)=a+t^2, where a is in real, are a subspace of \Re_{}n.The Attempt at a Solution the correct answer says that p(t) is not a subspace since the zero vector is not in the set. im trying to work this out and got P(0)=a+0=a is...- renob

Trouble understanding orbital hybridization
If you have a good general chem book then it basically just takes a lot of reading until you understand these concepts. This section for me, along with entropy were the hardest parts about chem 1 so far. Just remember that the central atom of the molecule must make enough hybrid orbitals to... -
