Graduate Can black holes ever truly disappear?
Infinite? How can a black hole's density be infinite? I don't see how that would, or could happen. Is there not a maximum density limit? And also, infinite density would mean infinite mass and energy, wouldn't it? I realize that some singularities occur in black holes, but does that make them...- s4syth

Undergrad Beginner-intermediate books on quantum physics
Could anyone please recommend some beginner-intermediate books on quantum physics for me? I don't want a lot of math, but I would like to learn the basic equations of different phenomena. Thanks.- s4syth

Graduate Can black holes ever truly disappear?
Assuming that space inside a black hole is expanding, just like regular space, could the density of a black hole be slowly lowered enough for the event horizon to dissapear, creating a supermassive ball of... stuff?- s4syth

Graduate Dark Energy & Expansionary Phase
Do dark energy models explain anything about the expansionary phase after the Big Bang? Maybe matter wasn't formed well enough and gravity wasn't working too well, so dark energy was by a large margin, the dominant force? Also, can anyone give me a link to a timetable of the universe's...- s4syth

Graduate Exploring the Concept of Point-like Particles in String Theory
Assuming that string theory does not rule out point-like particles such as quarks, how can a group of one-dimensional objects be seen as having no dimensions at all?- s4syth
