Undergrad Regarding Polarizer and viewing sun
If two polarizers are placed 90 degree rotated to each other, we won't be able to see anything. But when I tried looking directly at sun, which I did only for a second, with that perpendicular pair of polarizers, I was still able to see the sun. Shouldn't the sun disappear too ? Or why is it... -
Undergrad Confusion regarding Interference of light
Lol! Then. If I sit in a room with white walls. And I turn on a monochromatic source ? Since they are all coherent now. Will I see interference after they reflect from the walls ? -
Undergrad Confusion regarding Interference of light
I have been reading optics for the past few months. If light has the property of interference, when I look around, why don't I see any interference patterns. does it mean all the waves around me are in phase ? Another question is, why don't Cellphone signals interfere with each other ? they are... -
Undergrad Evolution of a star from a nebula
I know that our solar system and sun evolved from a nebula of a giant star.. but what happened to the remaining of the star.. entire star cannot go boom.! at least some remaining portion of the primordial star should have existed in the form of a neutron star or a white dwarf. If it existed what... -
