Engineering Quality Engineering or NDT Technician
Thanks for your reply The NDT program I applied to, is a one year program, for degree holders. I don't mind doing either one. I'm leaning towards the Quality engineering program, and the job prospects of NDT in Canada seem to be a bit better (source:google), but which one in general would have...- salmansl

Engineering Quality Engineering or NDT Technician
I'm in a dilemma right now. I've a mechanical engineering degree, and I wanted to supplement it with something before I join the work force, so I applied to two programs, Quality engineering post grad diploma, and a Non-Destructive testing technician diploma. Which one do you think has better...- salmansl

How can I properly add plies to a composite leaf spring in ANSYS APDL?
SHELL181 is a 3D layered element. SHELL99 and SHELL91 are not supported anymore, I can manually add them to my analysis, but then when I click solve, nothing happens.- salmansl

How can I properly add plies to a composite leaf spring in ANSYS APDL?
Hi, I'm analyzing a composite leaf spring using ANSYS APDL, the leaf spring has a thickness of 12mm, and since it is a composite material, it is composed of many plies, I'm assuming the ply thickness to be 0.125mm. I imported the geometry as a Parasolid x_t. And the element type I used is...- salmansl

Will Low Grades in a Non-Related Major Affect My Grad School Application?
Is it 3.6/4. If that is the case 3.6 out of 4 is still a very good GPA. I think you have nothing to worry about as long as you are not going to do graduate studies on music. What universities look at is a combination of your academic standing, work experiences, projects you've worked on etc. And...- salmansl

How Powerful Should My Compressor Be for a 3L/Day Atmospheric Water Generator?
Thanks for the reply, I'm doing a mechanical engineering degree, and this is a project I'm working on. I'm not concerned in assembling different parts together and coming up with result, but justifying why each component and calculating design numbers of each component. My problem is with the...- salmansl

How Powerful Should My Compressor Be for a 3L/Day Atmospheric Water Generator?
I'm working on a project to design Atmospheric Water Generator, to generate 3 litres of water per day. and I'm using the same concept as dehumidifier. My problem is I want to figure out how powerful my compressor should be. I need to calculate that, given a heat flow rate of 352.91 kJ/hour...- salmansl
