Try working at somewhere like first Detica, then doing further study after, I don't think its the best idea to do 2 masters after each other, well that's the way it is in the UK anyway .. unless you're looking to do a PHD
So I called another oil and gas company about resoiuvr engineer and they said I wouldn't qualify
It doesn't make sense because my modules are as applicable as engineering modules to these job
e.g. my masters project involved computational astrophysical fluid dynamics, which is pretty much...
Hi,
I graduated with a 1st class in "master of physics & bachelor of science", but I can't seem to find an interesting job that I am able to apply for.
I am not interested in software development or the nuclear and defense industry.
And it seems these are the only industries in the UK...
Yeah, maybe ! but one phone call to student finance would fix the student loan thing .. I don't know anyone who had any problems with switching from BSc to MPhys
LOL i have never heard of a teacher give a bad reference, they must be real dicks !
It doesn't make a difference if you choose to do a BSc or MPhys, you get a choice to switch at the end of second year.
Straight physics would probably be your best bet, because you're free to choose any physics module you want, whereas in physics with astrophysics you are more limited to your...
I don't know about Australia but in the UK theoretical particle, astrophysics and etc .. are really getting their funding cut. So unless you are the best it would be really hard to get a job/post doc after you do a PHD.
If money is a main objective then fields that are very important to industry...
Hi
I need to do a presentation at university; relating to high level physics research presented to final year high school students and it needs to include an experiment or demonstration
Any ideas ?
Experiments ?
total energy = thermal + Kinetic
Star gives off mechanical energy, then forming shocks which inturn heats up the surrounding, thus driving the shock via pressure
I would say that the total energy decreases ?
Just from simply looking at the equations Thermal=3/2PV and Ek=0.5mv^2
but I...
Homework Statement
If a big star gives of wind , forming shock and then a bubble .. And then this bubble is driven by pressure
Also as the bubble expands the surrounding mass gets added to it
Does it make sense for the Total energy to increase ?
Homework Equations
The Attempt at a Solution
sorry yes T= 1/10 K
and I think i worked it out, would this be the average density:
(Volume of particle/total volume)*(10rho) + (Volume of surrounding/total volume)*rho = Average density
Homework Statement
I have a grid with
Surrounding density = rho
Surrounding Temp = T
Surrounding Pressure = P
And I also have denser particles which over all have
density = 10rho
temp = 10T
Pressure = P
Now I want to average the densities, and have that as my new surrounding...
