High School What are the Topical Physics Video Lectures Offered by MIT and Yale?

Well, just to add in, yale has physics lectures too! they are really good =) http://oyc.yale.edu/physics The MIT lectures with youtube links and course material can be found here: http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/audio-video-courses/#physics =)

High School Why Can't We See Our Face in Newspapers & Walls?

Well, to "see" your face on something, you need light to bounce of the surface in a orderly fashion. Therefore in highly polished surfaces like mirrors the light gets bounced off in one direction. whereas in something like the wall, the surface is very rough although it might seem "smooth" to...

What is the anthropic principle and how does it relate to defining life?

Well, i think this is the point after which physics/all sciences "break" down? they don't break down but can't just give any simple answer that "works" for one negative entropy is huge no-no even if net entropy is zero...the mere fact that such organisms are stable is fascinating... we should...

What is the anthropic principle and how does it relate to defining life?

Ha, now that would be hard... =P i'd like to know too, till then i'll throw around Schrödinger's definition it definitely is interesting and not to mention =P :D

High School Can We Achieve 100% Efficiency? Renewable Components Explored

Yes, superconductors are 100% efficient at transferring power/storing electrical energy but the op wants a component he probably doesn't mean a superconductor...:D

What is the anthropic principle and how does it relate to defining life?

Well, isn't biology and chemistry technically part of physics? what kind of definition are you looking for?

Graduate Traveling through a magnetic field

Yes...what would happen? hmm...for a start if you are talking about relativistic mass, nothing much i would suppose as photons have a relativistic mass and they travel through magnetic fields in Earth =) if the particle in question is charged(i.e electron for example) it will perform circular...

Graduate Traveling through a magnetic field

How can something with mass travel at the speed of light? secondly specify if the mass is a magnetic material or if its charged ... btw what is dimension dilation?

High School How can I create the ultimate anti-gravity car for a physics competition?

http://www.sciencefair-projects.org/physics-projects/anti-gravity-machine.html well this isn't "anti-gravity" but it might be acceptable as i am pretty sure the competition's organizers do not think the second law of thermodynamics is a joke =P

    Questions about circuits and Resistors

resistors in series will be Rtotal = R1+R2+R3... resistors in parallel will be 1/Rtotal = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3... Now look at question one for example, the resistor(2R) diagonally placed is in fact parallel to the 2 resistors with value of R bottom right and bottom, in turn these two resistors...

Calculating the Efficiency of a Transformer for a Small Appliance

Your reasoning is absolutely correct, voltage drop theoretically shouldn't affect the power output, but in theory we assume that there is no losses, no heat generated etc. Thus when such a question pops up (power out)*100/(power in ) will give you the efficiency.

Calculators What do you think about this graphing calculator?

Its quite a good calculator, although i would personally recommend a Ti-84+ yes TI s have a steep learning curve especially if you originate from a casio background but you will get used to it i suppose =)
