Steam Power Plant: Solve Home Work Task
i'm not sure if it is super heated or not, all i have is the information i posted. From my basic knowledge of steam tables i think the saturation temp of water at 3bar is about 133.5C and to be honest from then on I am lost with where to look and what to do... Pain in the bum...- simonre7

Fluid Mechanics, Renoylds Number
A particle falls in water and reaches its terminal velocity. if the density of the particle is 1100kg/m3, what is the velocity and diameter is Re = 1.0 Again guys bit lost with this one, there are so many different equations relating to this i don't know where to start. hopefully some one...- simonre7

Fluid mechanics - Poiseuille Equation
The question is as follows: Determine the maximum velocity at which the poiseuille Equation may be used for a) water flowing in pipes diameter 0.001m, 0.015m & 0.20m, stating f, pressure drop/length in each case. b) Re-work question a) using air instead of water. I am a bit confused as...- simonre7

Gas Turbine Plant: Combustion Process & Air-Fuel Ratios
Again another homework question, all help greatly appreciated A gas turbine plant is fuelled by Methane,. After compresssion the air and fuel enter the combustion chamber at a temp of 600K and excess air is supplied in order to limit the temp of the combustion products to 1200K after steady...- simonre7

Steam Power Plant: Solve Home Work Task
Hi guys been given the following as some home work, haven't got a clue really its a bit confusing! Steam ar 40 bar and 400C enters the high pressure turbine of a steam power plant at a rate of 20kg/s and explands to a pressure of 3 bar at which point it is just dry saturated. at this point...- simonre7
