High School Can You Propel Yourself Back on a Chair?
Thanks for your reply HallsofIvy…... I mean while the person is sitting on the chair with their legs and feet tucked under the chair and with one sudden movement, using their feet against the surface (wooden floor, tile floor or stone floor) to push the chair back about one meter while still...- Skeptic Tom

High School Can You Propel Yourself Back on a Chair?
It may seem a bit silly this but I was told by a friend that it is possible to sit on a chair, wooden or plastic and propel oneself back by using ones legs, say a distance of one meter, while still sitting on the chair, in one sudden quick movement. I tried it but found it impossible. The...- Skeptic Tom

Fun experiments to disprove Flat Earth
Take them for a day trip to the beach, or large body of water, say about 10kilometers wide. Get them to look through a good pair of binoculars and ask them if they can see the waves washing up on the shore on the other side. It cannot be done because the curvature of the Earth gets in the way.- Skeptic Tom

I cannot upload it but if anyone would like to check it out, type the following into you tube search..."Burning holes into the sky with 'weather laser.' It should be first on the...- Skeptic Tom

Cloud cropping/plureite sensors
I saw a video on facebook recently of some sort of devices making circles in the clouds, revealing the blue sky above. I thought at first this was fake but apparently not. Someone provided the explanation using the above terms...cloud cropping and plureite sensors, but I can no longer find the...- Skeptic Tom

Fun experiments to disprove Flat Earth
Take your students to the seaside with a pair of binoculars and ask them to look at land/island about 10 to 12 kilometres away. No matter how hard they try they will not be able to see the shore where the sea meets the land because the curvature of the Earth blocks their view- Skeptic Tom

High School Mystery of Reflected Sunlight 73 Miles Away - A Man's Quest
After the 'bottle' was found and removed, there are no further reports of the reflection, so that must have resolved the 'curiosity.' If we are to believe the story, then it was the bottle that was causing the reflection. I live many thousands of miles away, in Ireland, and there are mountains...- Skeptic Tom
