thanks, i use Nebulosity now which works for me. I was using DSS a few months back and i always seemed to have trouble with it.- spark802

Stargazing North American nebula from this past summer

How Did I Capture Orion and Comet Lovejoy in Arizona?
Captured these two images from my trip to Arizona Feb 2015. I shot Orion in wide=field as a piggyback on my scope set up...Canon 550d,f/5.0,436 secs,ISO3200, kit lens at 36mm. For Lovejoy I shot through my 6 inch newt at ISO 800,for 300 secs guided.- spark802

Did You Capture the March 17 Aurora Borealis?
Hi folks I shot about 260 frames on the March 17 Aurora event...iso 1600, f/4.5, Cano 550D, exp times are 12 sec for first half of movie then bumped them up to 30 secs. Imaged from a few miles north of Winnipeg, Canada.- spark802

Yes I understand that , but I have had trouble with dss , I actually shot five of these at 50 or 60 seconds. Then a coupleat a 100 secs.I may buy aip4win this winter- spark802

Thank you...yes I forgot that. Astro-tech 6" newt, Canon 550d, tracked on a HEQ-5, used backyardEOS on laptop for cam control, 100 secs, ISO 1600, single raw image, processed in paint shop pro.- spark802
