Undergrad How to predict the frequency of NMR spectrum
I have a molecule and I'm barely accostumed to H-NMR and C-NMR this has neither it's trifluorophosphine I have to predict the splitting, intensities and frequency the first two I think I have some idea about but I don't even know where to look on how I could calculate this it seems like if...- SqrachMasda

Undergrad Any good sites, analysis practice?
you're absolutely correct i can't expect somebody else to explain things to me i can only explain it to myself it's stupid to complain maybe i'll come back when I'm good enough to actually formulate a logical question seriously thanks- SqrachMasda

Undergrad Any good sites, analysis practice?
a little bit of both thanks okay i'll just pick random problems from the book (because after trying to figure them out I never really know if what i did is even correct) 1)Let R and S be relations on a set A. Prove or give counterexampe a) if R and S are reflexive, then R intersect S...- SqrachMasda

Undergrad Any good sites, analysis practice?
it's preemptive strike for every other post I've left sometimes in the mist of insults you can still pick out some value i'm not really looking for 1 example i was wondering if anybody knows a site were they lay down various methods to proofs involving things from ---basic set...- SqrachMasda

Undergrad Any good sites, analysis practice?
my text introduces topics briefly and if so, they give examples either way to easy or way too difficult and then only one example. how do/did you practice with specifically set theory? other types of math you can do a bunch of examples but with proofs it's so independent(to me, not you of...- SqrachMasda

Graduate Can a Generalized Proof Show Containment Without Counter Example?
thanks for kicking me in the face on the way in okay, not the best reviewed post it's obviously a true statement i thought there would be more to proving it but i see it now i'm new to this sorry I'm not at your level of god like mastery of the subject 99% of the answers always...- SqrachMasda

Graduate Can a Generalized Proof Show Containment Without Counter Example?
i don't know if generalize is the correct term but f:A->B C,C1,C2 are subsets of A and D,D1,D2 are subsets of B (most of that is not needed for this part) C (contained in) f-1[f(C)] (f-1, is f inverse. i got to learn symbols) okay, my teacher always tells us we can use...- SqrachMasda

Is there life in the universe, and if so has it visited Earth?
there should be i can't even imagine a 4th dimension and dolphins don't seem to recognize out existence haha pretty much if there is something else it may be right in front of us, or watching us and know everything about us and we have no clue about it- SqrachMasda

Undergrad Indexed family? smart enuff 2b dumb enuff?
this seems extremely confusing to me so if anybody understands it they're a genius to me if anybody can dumb it down and actually explain it to me, they're GOD it was briefly introduced in my text on about half a page and was completely confusing the only practice problem ended in an empty...- SqrachMasda

IQ Limit: Is There a Ceiling to Human Intelligence?
if somebody had an absurdly high IQ but had zero education available to them how would they know is there a difference between memory and IQ? basically is there a version of IQ test that could test a person's potential? i think it's safe to say there are probably some very smart people but...- SqrachMasda

What causes the maximum viscosity in ethanol concentrations of 50%?
this is pretty old, but i asked my professor a while later and he said there was no real answer and in fact if i could get a very clear response i'd get an A for the semester. turns out we were never really expected to get it right (i hate that stuff) ... so I guess an answer to this should not...- SqrachMasda
