GAMSAT Strong Force Question: What Happens to Energy?

The question did have a passage of background information explaining what the strong force was, but the question itself (along with most other questions) are simply one liners With more than 100 questions in the test, and stress levels high, I don't remember the question word to word, but it...

GAMSAT Strong Force Question: What Happens to Energy?

I definitely didn't misread the graph as I asked my friends this same question, and they all confirmed they went by the graph showing a decrease. I can show how I remember it looking like, but the units are in joules for energy and femtometres for distance...

GAMSAT Strong Force Question: What Happens to Energy?

I wasn't sure where to post this, but about a week ago, I sat a test called GAMSAT which has a science section comprising 20% physics, 40% chemistry and 40% biology. Physics isn't exactly my strong point, however, the developers cite needing only high school level understanding (I stopped...

What is the reason behind the limited miscibility of metals in alloys?

It was mentioned that not all metals are miscible. What is the reason behind this? I read somewhere that in the liquid state they mix, but separate upon being cooled. What causes this? Is it from the density of the metals?

What is the reason behind the limited miscibility of metals in alloys?

Is it possible to make an alloy with all possible stable (non-radioactive) metals? I've googled around, and I couldn't find one, and also couldn't find a reason why it hasn't been made. If its not possible, what is the reason behind it?

    Regarding pair production and annihilation

Hi, i have a few questions about these two processes. Now, I am only 16 years old, in my last year of school, so I am not so familiar with physics, if you could put terms simple enough for an average 16 year old to understand, i'd much appreciate it :) my question is: If e‾ + e+ → γ + γ and γ →...
