Boundary conditions for 3d current flow through water
I've forgotten a lot of field theory so I've been rereading it in a couple of electric field theory textbooks. What seems like a simple problem falls between the cracks. I hope some readers can help - it will be appreciated. My application seems simple (solution will require numerical FEA but...- stevecarson

Graduate How Does Saturation Affect Radiative Transfer in the Atmosphere?
But, for example, Prof. F.W. Taylor of Oxford University in Elementary Climate Physics describes a band model and comments about the "strong condition": He goes on to derive from that particular band model the modification to the absorption equations as a result. So I don't think the...- stevecarson

Graduate How Does Saturation Affect Radiative Transfer in the Atmosphere?
Re: the absorption & re-emission of long-wave radiation in the Earth's atmosphere. I thought it all made sense until I was trying to work out how to explain it better to others! So the Beer-Lambert equation describes the absorption at a given wavelength as exp(-k.z) where k is a constant...- stevecarson

Relationship between d.c. volts and electrolysis in steel
We use a 10v a.c. signal through to a small steel sensor (SMO 254) in wastewater - and the control device looks for a conductive path to ground to determine that the level of liquid is over the sensor. We don't use d.c. because of the electrolysis effect - but the circuit we use could have a...- stevecarson
