I totally agree with you and but I do read the book. In fact what I have noticed is, when you first read the textbook and then once you listen to the teacher's lectures, you comprehend the material well. So I think of these extra notes/videos as a supplement rather than a replacement. Thanks though.

I think Halliday,Resnick,Walker's book is more than enough...Itz an excellent book...itz really popular in India and itz cheap...i don't think u need Serway.

Heman, I was just wondering...does the IIT campuses have a PhD program? If it does maybe you can continue there itself...IIT has a very good reputation.
