..until next barrel of vacuum energy we are sitting on explodes and puts stop to the existence of the universe as we know it.Perhaps~pretty probably~perhaps~pretty probably... -
Graduate Is the Universe Infinite or Finite: What Theories Suggest?
I vaguelly remember reading that E.A. Poe (writer) gave the first logicaly valid treatment about sky darkness paradox .In his time it was known that speed of light was finite. -
High School Is All Motion Linked to the Big Bang?
Nutrinos are the part of electromagnetic spectrum?Since when? Neglecting "neutrinos" in the package ;-):Electromagnetic waves all "travel" at the "speed of light" in vacuum regardless of their frequency.Great J.C.Maxwell concluded this first.- TeV

High School If the Earth was a giant metal cube..
This is about model I had in my mind (didn't noticed that part in first thread reading).Form of gravitational "collapse" will be going on,realising the energy and raising the temperature in various regions of the system under various pressures. But ,without dissipation to the surrounding...- TeV

Mathematics - Invented or Discovered
With finite number of physical objects, recognizing finite number of fundamental force interactions in system, there "is" only possibility* for one infinity-trough the time unlimiting operation procedure:the potential infinity. This is also supported by spacetime quantization requirement in modern...- TeV

Graduate Trustworthy Reasoning vs. Incomplete Models: The Debate on Qualitative Modeling
Got you . Phobos,I was joking .Flowers, big "nucleus of Earth" and stuff.. .Heh..If only the cosmologic theories were reducible to such level.. But the flowers, symmetries, they are still beautiful ( appealing), aren't they ?- TeV

There isn't infinite number of any object in the universe I agree, but there's potential infinity in EM and gravitational force reach for instance (according to currently accepted models of these force-field interactions). Also, this is just a possibility and interpretations depend on model of the...- TeV

Graduate Russell's Paradox and the Excluded-Middle reasoning
Accordingly the solution to the paradox can be found in the key word "naive" set theory.Obviously, some classes are not well defined sets that obey logical operations. In other words, they are not correctly defined. Axiomatic set theories are required to prevent paradoxes.- TeV

Mathematics - Invented or Discovered
IMHO,there are SOME differences between abstract math that never gets applied to physics and abstract maths that gets. My impression:simple reason might be that nature uses the most simple wayouts, paths and mathrules in the base of its' modus operandi, while mathematician sometimes gets astray...- TeV

**************************************************** Contrary to what a previous post implied, only humans can 'count'. All animals, including humans, have some innate ability to descriminate between a certain amount of objects without having to resort to counting. Humans are supposed to be...- TeV
