How many actual senses do you think we have? Cuz I think of hearing as just very sensitive touch and wonder how we sometimes know how something tastes from its odor or visa-versa...

hmmm...if it were legal and I had enough time/money to do so. it would be interesting to see how a child would develop if never exposed to any sort of verbal or visual language. (I don't mean that to sound sadistic)

Well i'd have to say gullibility has a lot to do with what we consider reality. Because certain things have been beaten into our minds ever since we were too young to doubt. A intellectually limited child may go its whole life believing that the moon was made of cheese if the child had no proof...

I agree with you hamlet. There really isn't much of a point in caring about the past in the first place since there is nothing to do about it anymore. (or should i say yet?) Unless it's to learn from your mistakes. It could be that guilt is just us feeling ashamed for not realizing something...
