Charged ball within spherical shell charge problem
Homework Statement A small charged ball lies within the hollow of a metallic spherical shell of radius R. Here, for three situations, are the net charges on the ball and shell, respectively: 1 +4q, 0 2 -6q, +10q 3 +16q, -12q (a) Rank the situations according to the charge on the...- Tilted

Solving an Integration Problem Involving Partial Fractions and Trig Substitution
Homework Statement \int(x^2-2x+3)dx/(x^3-x^2-x-2) Homework Equations Trig substitution/ partial fractions? The Attempt at a Solution I used partial fractions to reduce the integral down to: \intdx/(x-2)+\int(x-1)dx/(x^2+x+1) The first integral is easy enough, but the...- Tilted

Prove or Disprove: (n\Pi+\Pi/2)+n\Pi=(2n+1/2)\Pi
I used the equation on my paper. ( I put the wrong one on the OP by accident ) Correct Equation is: (n\Pi+\Pi/2)+n\Pi=(2n+1/2)\Pi Which can be shown to be equal with some algebra. 2n\Pi+\Pi/2=2n\Pi+\Pi/2 Sorry for forgeting the pi in the OP :(.- Tilted
