I am a huge wuss, so rather than feel like my mouth is on fire, I buy Orajel from the drugstore. It's a numbing agent that at least gets rid of the pain. Be careful though - the stuff tastes HORRIBLE, so do not accidentally swallow it. Also, be careful in application of it, because it DOES work...
