I A common 2nd order ODE from dynamics but....

Could have fooled me. When I took dynamics in college this was never described. Perhaps you could provide a source or two that shows the solution to this problem?

I A common 2nd order ODE from dynamics but....

Consider a simple single degree-of-freedom (SDOF) spring-mass-dashpot dynamic system with spring rate k, mass m, and viscous damping coefficient c. Dimension x is the absolute displacement of the mass. The base input translation is y. A dot notation indicates differentiation with respect to...

LaTeX Discover LaTex & MathJax for Writing Math Expressions

Well, with a very tedious process, I did a paragraph-by-paragraph screen captures and pastes into on MS Word document. I was very careful to capture every line of text in the document. A pdf copy of my LaTex Primer is attached.

LaTeX Discover LaTex & MathJax for Writing Math Expressions

Thanks but if you print that out it hides lines of text at the top and bottom of each page.

LaTeX Discover LaTex & MathJax for Writing Math Expressions

Yes of course. The search results are so big and the destinations so diverse...I went to a few places but couldn't find anybody to call.

LaTeX Discover LaTex & MathJax for Writing Math Expressions

Yes thank you. I was aware of that. It is not in a good "printable format" though.

LaTeX Discover LaTex & MathJax for Writing Math Expressions

Until this forum I had never heard of LaTex for writing mathematical expressions. Can anyone help me: A. find out where to download these programs. B. find someone who would be willing to provide guidance on installing and using these programs C. find LaTex and MathJax primers I can print...

How Much Heat Energy Can Be Harvested from Sunlight Per Square Meter in the UK?

Man made surfaces only absorb part of the incident irradiance. Some is reflected. How much all depends on the solar absorptance of the particular surface.

How Much Heat Energy Can Be Harvested from Sunlight Per Square Meter in the UK?

The greatest solar flux I've found is from the US Department of Defense MIL-STD-810G Method 505.3 for the Hot-Dry environment. This provides a diurnal cycle (solar irradiation and ambient air temp on the same graph) with a total solar irradiation that peaks at 1120W/m2. The components of this...

Can I Find Volunteer EE Bloggers and Authors for Electronics Cooling Magazine?

I'm just an old fart mechanical design engineer with a career in the electronics business. I do "electronics packaging" which has little to do with bubble wrap, cardboard boxes and the Shipping & Receiving Department LOL! Being "between jobs" right now, I'm writing a paper on electronics heat...
