Undergrad About the 2nd law of thermodynamics
this is going to be a newbie question... i couldn't understand why a system in thermodynamic equilibrium must with maximum entropy? and this is just 100% sure that within an isolated system entropy never decreases? thank you in advance for your reply...- UglyNakedGuy

High School Equations for relative velocity
thank you for your reply! unfortunately, when I search on website, I was told the equation as: \frac{u- v}{1- \frac{uv}{c^2}} and it says if they go opposite directions, I need to replace the sign...if you think I am paranoid :) , please check here...- UglyNakedGuy

High School Equations for relative velocity
hello everyone, Can someone kindly show me the equation for relative velocity calculations? when i search for them via wikipedia, there is only one formula for collinear objects and they move to the same direction... so what if they move opposite to each? and what if their motions...- UglyNakedGuy

Graduate How observation of a distant galaxy changes when travelling towards it
hi all, quite a discuss, may I ask a question here...about time dilatation. I am just thinking, we all know (approximately) how long one second is, according to our day to day life, and ( please correct me if I am wrong, sorry :) ) if something moves at v=c, for itself, time won't move at...- UglyNakedGuy

High School Mass and velocity, thank you for your help
I see, so that's actually a algebra thing? (for my own understanding , sorry if I am wrong) the energy of an object and its V have a positive correlation, so E goes up when speed goes up. and then, since E=mc^2, and c is constant ( assume in vaccum) so we relate E with c . is this...- UglyNakedGuy

High School Mass and velocity, thank you for your help
Dear all, I am a lover in astrophyics, however, I have not got much knowledge in it. Recently, I read a book and it says " the mass (of an object) increases as its velocity goes up", I don't think my brain works for this sentence... I seem to remember that P=M*V, so literally, if velocity...- UglyNakedGuy
