Laplace Transform solution help
Nevermind partial fractions won't help here. You need to have proven a theorem about the laplace transform of the step function times another function.- Vid

Undergrad Math for Cryptography/Cryptanalysis
The discrete math class would be a good start. The RSA encryption algorithm is taught in a lot of sophmore level discrete math classes. You could possibly find this book and your library and do some reading on your own: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0387779930/?tag=pfamazon01-20- Vid

Become a Quantum Theoretical Physicist with Mathematical Sciences
I'm a little (actually more than a little) bothered by the fact that the "analysis" class uses Stewart's Calculus as a textbook.- Vid

Re-doing mathematics from the ground up - a rather odd request
Serge Lang - Basic Mathematics for anything high school related. After that, get books on linear algebra and analysis. Shilov has books on both subjects that are pretty excellent and pretty cheap dover reprints.- Vid

Books on Classical/analytical Mechanics
I like Arnold's "Mathematical Methods in Classical Mechanics," but I've never read Goldstein and I've only glanced at Landau. I'm not a physics major either, but a math major.- Vid

Summer REU/Internships & Algebraic Topology/Category Theory Questions
I took a research class in Algebraic Topology last semester. Most of the background material I spent a lot of time reading was ring and module theory. I'm continuing with this in the fall and this summer I'm going some stuff in basic Algebraic Geometry. Basically to reinforce ring theory and...- Vid

Another mathamatician neede to check this CURL-GRAD-DIV
This question doesn't make any sense. Using the vector laplacian is trivial since it's defined by using the other two terms in your equations.- Vid

A good computer for theoretical physics
It's not just about the actual computation, but the difference between a laptop with a 7200 and 5400 drive for general use is quite significant. The difference from just boot times up is very significant. In general, it just makes windows more responsive and programs open faster. I'm not...- Vid
