Why my outboard carburetor corrosion?
My 4 stroke outboard was sitting about 2-3 months, it couldn't start again last week. Then I disassemble the carburetor and want to clean it inside. But badly, lot of corrosion inside the carburetor. I don't understand the problem of the valve face is too wide
When i read the manual, it said if the valve face is too wide and narrow, it need to cut the valve seat to meet the specification. I guess if the valve face too narrow, then the valve performance is not the best. but i don't understand if the face too wide, what is the problem.- vtr1005

What is the reason for different temperature thermostat
I am a outboard mechanic, when i change a new thermostat, i find out there have different temperature, which is 50, 60,71 degree celsius. can anyone teach me the reason of it?- vtr1005

The right method to put an oil seal in a housing
i have a question, when i put a oil seal in a housing, should i put grease between the housing and the oil seal? because that is more easy to out in. Can explain the theory to me please?- vtr1005

My engine oil is green color. Its normal?
today i did a oil change on my outboard engine. i found out the oil is green, its normal? If yes, why the oil will be green color? because i fill the new oil is golden color.- vtr1005
