    Vertical displacement of electron

When I used a=F/m I got (4.3E-16)/9.11E-31) which equals 4.72E14 when I try a=0 in the horzizontal displacement formula, I got t= .000002 Do I use that in the vertical diplacement formula for t and then 4.72E14 for a?

    Vertical displacement of electron

Homework Statement An electron with a speed of 1.9 × 107 m/s moves horizontally into a region where a constant vertical force of 4.3 × 10-16 N acts on it. The mass of the electron is 9.11 × 10-31 kg. Determine the vertical distance the electron is deflected during the time it has moved 34 mm...

Volume of a Solid: Solve Problem with Washer/Shell Method

I double checked it and still got 424pi/3 The homework is online and I got it correct

Volume of a Solid: Solve Problem with Washer/Shell Method

That did it! I came up with 424pi/3 When I initially tried the shell method I was using just x for the radius instead of 7-x. Thanks again for the help!

Volume of a Solid: Solve Problem with Washer/Shell Method

since its rotating about the line x=7, I solved for y first Im using pi*intergral from 0 to 16 of ((7-sqrt(y))^2-(7-5)^2)dy I think I'm messing up with what my inner and outer radius' are and possibly the bounds

Volume of a Solid: Solve Problem with Washer/Shell Method

I'm have trouble with a homework problem having to do with find volume of an area. the problem reads: Find the volume of the solid obtained by rotating the region bounded by the given curves about the specified line. y=x^2 , y=0 , x=2 , x=4; about the line x=7 I've tried using the washer...
