Physics The job of a theoretical physicist
I had some questions in my mind due to lack of experience... experienced people can give answers to this post... :) I often wonder, what theoretical physicists do on for years and years... Do they sit at home with a pen and paper and think? Are they focused more on academics or research...- xavier_r

Programs At what age did you complete your undergrad and grad degrees and phD?
and at what age did you complete your undergrad and grad degrees and phD if you did it? I have a feeling that after one reaches thirty one cannot progress further... since most famous researchers were still young while making their greatest discoveries... anyways, my feelings aside... I...- xavier_r

Is self-study with Feynman's Lectures enough for UnderGrad physics?
Well, I have got hold of Feynman's Lectures Volume 1,2,3... I am trying to understand UnderGrad physics through self-study at home... Are those 3 books enough to understand (at least conceptually) UnderGrad level physics?- xavier_r

How Does Euler's Identity Simplify the Expression y = e^(x(1-i)) + e^(x(1+i))?
why don't you write your equations using [tex] tabs... it will be more readable by others...- xavier_r

Solve Trigonometry Equation: 4cosec(X) - 3sec(X) = 4cos(2X)
I guess you can change the equation to, (1/2)*cos^{-1}((4cosec(X) - 3sec(X))/4) = X So let f(X) = (1/2)*cos^{-1}((4cosec(X) - 3sec(X))/4) Then use a computer program or any scientific calculator, to find the limit of f^n(X) as n tends to infinity... where f^n(X) = f(f(f(... n...- xavier_r

Undergrad Particle at 0 at Time 0: Where After 1 Sec?
I think Defennder is right "If time and space were quantized in discrete units called Planck time and length, then no paradox would arise." -

Undergrad Particle at 0 at Time 0: Where After 1 Sec?
Yea, I agree! Mathematically, it is very easily evident! But in physics, how can infinite number of tasks be done in a finite amount of time?
