How many theorems are there in mathematics? A very stupid question... I hope there's an answer!

I had some questions in my mind due to lack of experience... experienced people can give answers to this post... :) I often wonder, what theoretical physicists do on for years and years... Do they sit at home with a pen and paper and think? Are they focused more on academics or research...

Well, I have got hold of Feynman's Lectures Volume 1,2,3... I am trying to understand UnderGrad physics through self-study at home... Are those 3 books enough to understand (at least conceptually) UnderGrad level physics?

Will I require any physics degree to publish a paper? I am a computer Science student, but love theo. phy. till the core of my heart Will I be able to publish papers without any physics degree, and just by studying at home?

Well studying at home seems harder to me, than studying in a university... Now I want some real advice... From someone who knows the Indian System of Study I have done my Bachelors in Computers from Univ. Pune... in 2007 I want to go into Theo. Physics... Masters then PhD... and not waste...

Yea, I agree! Mathematically, it is very easily evident! But in physics, how can infinite number of tasks be done in a finite amount of time?
