Undergrad Arrangement of shapes in an area
Hello, I'm trying to research a method or algorithm to determine how to best fit a couple of diferent shapes into a given area. Type of area: Rectangular Types of shapes: Rectangles, Triangles, Circles Where I work at we have to figure out how to best arrange the shapes we need into a... -

High School Question About a light beam .
Yes, this analogy cleared up things for me, however does this mean that a light beam also has a "rate of fire"? For example could we determine how many photons traveled through space in 1ms? given that we know the girth of the beam?- xchaos01

High School Question About a light beam .
Question! "About a light beam..." The question is can a light beam cover more than 300,000km in 1 sec? (I do realize that there's a reason why "c" is called a constant...) Or maybe I'm asking the wrong question.. if the light beam could leave marks on the surface it's hitting while the light...- xchaos01

Graduate Equivalence of mass, energy and gravity
Thanks for the replies guys. Ok, I'll just leave with this simple question: Does the rotational kinetic energy add to a body's gravity?- xchaos01

Graduate Equivalence of mass, energy and gravity
Verry good observation, I'll have to revisit the gravity equations... But still, on the main premise, does it add to the gravitational force or not?- xchaos01

Graduate Equivalence of mass, energy and gravity
I'll try and find a way to paste the document "as is" so you don't have to go through downloading it. If you know a way to convert it, specifically referring to the equation editor objects in Word please let me know. Thanks.- xchaos01

Graduate Equivalence of mass, energy and gravity
Hi guys, I'd like to hear what you think about a little thing I did talking about the equivalence of mass, energy and gravity. I used planet Earth as an example. Here's the link to the .docx Word file: http://www.angelfire.com/bug/chaos1/Gravity_Rotation.docx" My premise is that the more...- xchaos01
