Undergrad Calculating a Character's Warp Speed in a Book
I think this is what you're asking: 58 m/s is to 1 m/s as x(her walk speed) is to 1.389 m/s. so her walking speed is just 1.389*58 m/s.- xhhux

Undergrad Does wind help a runner run laps faster?
The face of your body, with your arms and such, is less aerodynamic than your back is. So, yes, I would imagine it would slow you down overall. -

Calculate Average Net Force of 20g Bullet Striking Wood
The block will stop all of the force applied by the bullet; when it just enters the block, the force is equal to that of the force of the bullet, when it stops there is no force. So the average force would be the average of those two forces.- xhhux

Kinetic Energy of Two Atoms System: r=r1
After taking a short break, I figured it out, and it was massively simple. I'll post the answer here so that anyone else Googling in the future can find it. K=1.1 U=-1.3 and K+U = -0.2 since they are inversely proportional, their sum must equal the vibration state.- xhhux

Kinetic Energy of Two Atoms System: r=r1
Homework Statement The figure shows a potential energy curve for the interaction of two neutral atoms. The two-atom system is in a vibrational state indicated by the heavy solid horizontal line. (a) At r = r1, what are the approximate values of the kinetic energy K, the potential energy U...- xhhux

What equations should be used to calculate the tension in a rope?
Tension is equal to mass time acceleration(g in the first equation). So: T=(5m/s/s)(5Kg) = 25N Tension is a force; you could use the other eq just the same.- xhhux
