Engineering Signal Processing jobs with a Biomedical Engineering degree
I'm starting a new job search where I'm interested in getting an entry level engineering position so I'm trying to figure out the industries where I would realistically be able to obtain a job as an engineer. I obtained my A.S in Engineering Science, my B.S in Physics, and my M.S in Biomedical...- xicor

Other Is a PhD in Biomedical Engineering the Best Path for My Career Goals?
I have the current job because of restraints from last year with recovering from a major surgery, financial restraints, and wanted to make sure one of my family members recovered well from a major surgery. I have no liking to my hometown and desire to get out of the area because it just has bad...- xicor

Other Is a PhD in Biomedical Engineering the Best Path for My Career Goals?
I'm specifically creating this topic out of concern for career prospects so I'm putting this under the career section. I'm at the stage where I have had my starting job for almost six months since leaving my graduate studies with a M.S in Biomedical Engineering where I'm performing a basic...- xicor

Other Got starting job, need focus for next step
Point taken, I do need to make sure I mentally differentiate between my feelings of the employer and the area I'm living in at the time being. This job may have been perfectly tolerable and enjoyable for over a year if I weren't totally isolated but since that is the case this makes me very...- xicor

Other Got starting job, need focus for next step
It would only matter if I care what they would do if they saw these posts and have an opinion based on the said bad presentation. Since this is just a job to give me financial independence and possibly a Driver's License before moving on from my parents home and overcoming isolation I can't...- xicor

Other Got starting job, need focus for next step
Well, based on the way they are presenting themselves professionally I'm not sure if it matters if I mention them by name. I had the interview with them and the person interviewing me said they don't want to see me staying there because of my degree and qualifications and then gave me a...- xicor

Other Got starting job, need focus for next step
Hello everyone! I graduated in June with a M.S in Biomedical Engineering and obtained a starting job that I started three weeks ago as a quality control analyst related to the testing of pharmaceuticals in a company called ICON Plc. While it sounded good at the time of applying for the job there...- xicor

Differential equation describing RLC cicuit
Alright, I now understand the relationship between the current in the inductor and the capacitor. For parallel circuits, the total current is related to each branch by i_{T} = i_{1} + i_{2} and since i_{L} = i_{C}, i_{T} = i_{L} + i_{R}. I can then substitute for i_{L} in the differential with...- xicor

Are These Hermitian Conjugates Also Hermitian Operators?
Alright, I think I understand now. If I apply a function to [x, p] I then find that [x, p]f = ihf so [x, p] = ih. When I apply this to the hermitian condition I get negative sign produced when I bring the i to the other function so [x, p] isn't hermitian. For the case of xp +px if I consider...- xicor

Are These Hermitian Conjugates Also Hermitian Operators?
Sorry, but I think I'm confused on what you have to even do for the hermitian conjugate. Do you even need to apply the <f|Qg) = <Q*f|g> to show the hermitian conjugate or do you just need to do the complex conjugate of the operator and if it isn't hermtian it will be something different when you...- xicor

Energy probabilities of the harmonic oscillator
Further hints I was given to the problem suggested I don't need to solve the Schrödinger equation and instead the problem wanted me to get the probability values of C_{n} from the Fourier's trick which states C_{n} = ∫ψ_{n}(x)f(x)dx where in this case f(x) = ψ(x, 0). From this I was able to find...- xicor
