Hey guys, long story short. I am completing my Math minor this semester and need to decide on whether Topology or Fourier Analysis. I am an undergraduate physics major and neither one of those classes is required for my B.S. in physics. So what do you guys think, Topology or Fourier Analysis?
Yeah, like I said, I haven't actually started the class yet. The description of the course in the catalog is:
Calculus-level treatment of thermodynamics, geometrical and physical optics, and sound and the prerequisite for the class is Newtonian mechanics.
Hi everybody, I just wanted to ask for those of you who have taken an intro class in light, heat, and sound what you thought of the class? I have taken intro Mechanics and intro E&M so this is my third class in the program. Just curious if it's typically easier or more difficult then those...
I go to NMSU and Differential Geometry is still officially in the course catalog. Apparently they just haven't taught it for 3 years, for what reason though, I do not know. Our math requirement for physics is only the three semester calculus sequence, diff eq, and a mathematical physics class...
Here is my situation, I am a physics major who is also minoring in math. I have already taken Calc1-3 and Diff EQ as well as an intro to linear algebra course. I am scheduled to take a vector analysis course this Fall. The reason for my choice of linear algebra and vector analysis is because...
I am just basically regurgitating what everyone else has already said on this thread but I will say it anyways. I don't think you should be discouraged and give up, I know a lot of people who failed calc I and then repeated the course the second go around and passed.
You should definitely...
I know your school probably doesn't offer a degree in Engineering Physics or you probably already would have considered it but I think that is exactly what you are looking for.
Hey guys, I was hoping to pick at the brains of those who are involved with the hiring process of recent graduates and/or are in the process of trying to obtain positions.
To make it short, I have about 2 years left before I graduate with my degree in physics. I have a healthy GPA so far...
Hey guys, I was hoping to pick the brains of some of you more experienced students and professionals. I have roughly 2 and 1/2 years left before I receive my B.S. in physics and the farther along I get in my studies the more I realize that there is a lot that I still don't know, go figure. For...
Hi everyone, this is my first post and so I just want to say thank you in advance for any responses to my question. I recently applied for an internship which will take place over the summer of 2014 and it looks like I have a good chance at actually being accepted for the program. However, I...
