If bar A moves right at a speed of x,how does bar B move?
yes tiny-tim that's right...and the value is X/2 since the speed of the A=X.:)- zizodev

Measuring specific heat capacity
i mean pay attention in units, look in this table: http://data.imagup.com/10/1146563447.jpg you should change the tempertaure to kelvin or recalculate the specific heat from J/(kg.K to J/(kg.C) you know the temperature in kelvin=273+the temperature in degree celcuis. .- zizodev

Measuring specific heat capacity
hi Janinever, your mistkae is here. you had used specific heat with kelvin not in degree celcuis in this cade you should use the temperture with kelvin also or change the specifi heat constant with degre 9.102 J.Kg-1.°K-1 it's in kelvin k=273+T in(degree celcuis) sorry for my bad english- zizodev

If bar A moves right at a speed of x,how does bar B move?
Hi.. Homework Statement http://data.imagup.com/12/1146557882.jpg If bar A moves right at a speed of x,how does bar B move? Homework Equations speed of the gear(A) * number of teeth(A) =speed of the gear(B) * number of teeth(B) The Attempt at a Solution as A slide to the right, so the C gear...- zizodev

Which pulley system requires the least force to lift the same weight?
Homework Statement http://data.imagup.com/10/1146555432.jpg Homework Equations Force applied on the weight=F*(MA). The Attempt at a Solution i chosse the E system ...it has the greater mechanical advantage (MA)=3. MA(of A)=1, MA(of B)=2,MA(C)=2,MA(D)=2,MA(E)=3.. I hope my...- zizodev

Mechanical apptitude to suggest the direction of action.
yes mr:S_Happens ...this is the solution as i have suggested."The larger radius gear wheel allows a longer lever arm, which means more torque." :) thnks brothers.- zizodev

Mechanical apptitude to suggest the direction of action.
no tiny-tim...the direction of sliding of the ranks.. choice A:the left rank will goes up the right one will goes down. choice B:the right rank will goes down the right one will goes up. and we have the same weight on the both ranks. so what choice A or B will be the correct one..and why...- zizodev

Some of mechanical apptitude test
yeah, because the (2 gear connected with axe) will turn Anticlockwise, the 3 rd gear will turn clockwise, the 4th anticlokwise, the last one will turn clockwise (and that the rank will slide to the left and the originel force given will make the rank slide to the left and that will make the system...- zizodev
