Find the conservation of electrical energy in the LCR
Which LCR? there's no diagram! Also, derivate notation involves the same power on top as the bottom, i.e d^2Q/dt^2, so can you double check your listed relevant equations.- Zryn

Understanding Thevenin Equivalent: Why Zeq = 0
It's only a matter of calculating the parallel resistance as per normal: 1/R(t) = 1 / R(short) + 1 / R(open) + 1 / R(C) + 1 / R(L) + 1 / R(R) R(t) = 1 / [1 / 0 + 1 / inf + 1 / -j10 + 1 / j20 + 1 / 30] R(t) = 1 / [(1 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 0)/0] (put all 5 fractions over a common denominator) R(t) = 1...- Zryn

Understanding Thevenin Equivalent: Why Zeq = 0
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Th%C3%A9venin%27s_theorem" So you know the Thevenin Voltage already. In step two you can short all voltage sources, open all current sources (as per step 2a.) and then comment on the resistance of the remaining circuit.- Zryn

Can someone please explain a step to a solution? It's about nodal analysis
I assume from the picture that the 1kR label next to the 10kR on the left should actually be the resistance of the 2mA current source, which is interesting, since by Ohms Law the voltage across it would then be 2V, as shown by the 1st equation current of -2/K, yet this voltage is not V1 ...- Zryn

Why college/university is so expensive in the USA
Don't prices generally fall when there is a lot of something? Why would the masses enrolling make the price go up if they have to pay for it themselves?- Zryn

Why college/university is so expensive in the USA
I went to University for 8 years on a common government subsidy program, accruing a total debt of $50k and meanwhile getting a government stipend of $10k/yr, the same as anyone else could if they chose to in my benighted country .- Zryn

Help with Problems: Solutions Here!
For Ideal Op-Amps, you should know the two golden rules governing the + and - terminals, one relates to the currents and one relates to the voltages. Do you know them? 1) What are the characteristics of an Ideal Current Source? 2) This basic problem shows you how to analyse an Inverting...- Zryn

Finding a voltage across 2 nodes [Check answer - work already done]
It could possibly have been designed as a (trick) knowledge problem, rather than a circuit analysis problem. Needs more OP confirmation I suppose.- Zryn

Finding a voltage across 2 nodes [Check answer - work already done]
Given the line drawn between V1+ and V1-, and the node 'dots', it seems a safe assumption that there are two loops, rather than just one with an errant line. I did it your way as well though and got the same numbers, but wanted the original question reposted just to verify.- Zryn

Finding a voltage across 2 nodes [Check answer - work already done]
Vab = Va - Vb. Assuming Va is at V1+ and Vb is at V1-, what is V1? Given V1, and using KVL around the right hand loop, what is Vx?- Zryn

Finding a voltage across 2 nodes [Check answer - work already done]
Can you repost the original question and then rewrite your solution with some brief explanations to show what you are doing? i.e KVL (Right): V1 - Vx - 24 = 0- Zryn

Calculating Energy Capacity for a Town and Power Station
I suppose there are a thousand different power station designs and grades of steel, though the ones that I have worked at (which are all at least 40 years old) have all manner of temperature alarms between the furnace steam outlet and the IP turbines to ensure the system cuts out before or shuts...- Zryn

Engineering Find the voltage V in the circuit
NascentOxygen was commenting in regards to the bolded bit, which is incorrect, as the source is in series with the 4R resistor and this entire branch is then in parallel with the 12R resistors on either side of it, meaning that 24 volts will NOT appear across the 12R resistors as stated.- Zryn

Calculating Energy Capacity for a Town and Power Station
I'm not quite sure about the word 'capacity', since the town isn't storing energy, so I will assume it means 'demand'. You are given the following: -Town Population - 100 000, average 4 people per household -Average consumption per HH - 2kW at all times of the day Given the population...- Zryn
