How did you find PF?
Google
I’m a retired ex physicist I guess. Although I have a first degree in theoretical physics and did post graduate studies ( structural phase transitions in strontium Titanate, I did not pursue a career in physics. However it has always been my first love. Since retiring I’ve been interested in quantum computing and quantum mechanics

Welcome to PF!

What have you learned so far about Quantum Computing?

There's a lot of hype going around. The latest significant news I heard was that Nvidia has partnered with a QC startup. The news sent shockwaves through the industry, and several well-known QC ventures suffered a serious dip in stock prices.

Welcome to PF!

<<Emphasis added>> If you're comfortable discussing it, what career did you pursue? A common question that pops up here is, "What careers does a degree in physics prepare me for?" Too often students have a narrow view of a "physics career". It would be valuable to hear stories from people who got their degrees in physics but ended up in sundry career trajectories.
