I really like this band... although I don't understand Japanese. I really like the solo of this song.

NINGEN ISU / Great king of terror (人間椅子 / 恐怖の大王) - 2016

(someone's attempted translation)

I like Graham Bonnet from Alcatrazz and Rainbow.

( 2020 - with Graham Bonnet and Joe Stump ).

Alcatrazz - London 1666 (Official Video)

I like Jason Becker (from Cacophony, his solo work, and from David Lee Roth).

The end of this instrumental sounds very different from the beginning.

The album called: Abstract Logic by Shawn Lane and Jonas Hellborg is really cool fusion.
But at the moment I am returning to Iron Fire with the great song: Ironhead, check it out!
Hail from Denmark! good speed metal.
Wish they come to my place. But as long as I have internet connection I can listen to such a groove so I don't care they don't visit my country.

In the last three years (since my surgery, I was in a comma for three weeks according to mum) I started listening to both christian and anti-christian metal music like the awsome canadians Stallion especially their album from 2014 (not dead and not alive that's what I felt back then in the hospital; and also got notice by the band Demon Hunter; they have some great songs no matter what are your beliefs about our universe's existence. And also there's this new melodic death metal song by Insomnium called shadowlife; their last album was two three years ago.
There's nothing like guitar, bass and drums you can add keyboards but sometimes a trio is enough.
i am pretty sure you are acquianted with Michael Harris, what a guitarist:

He develops all that skill and gets only one view per week? Fusion just isn't popular in the West. It lives on in Tokyo. You won't get rich doing it but you can make a living by teaching and doing sessions. Here's my latest fave.

well, instrumental music is rarely popular with people in their 10-30 years old nowadays.
I remember in high school I brought a mp3 cd player and played some ripped cd of stuff I downloaded back then of Joe Satriani's I think it was the baroque tune, and one of the pupils said that such a music can make you concentrate in learning technical.
Anyways back to the time machine:

I think this tune was incorporated to the mario brothers film; what a funny movie; the creators must had taken too much mushrooms.... :-D

Simple background music is popular with them. Thump thump thump thump. Skilled instrumental music, not.

Joe S. in a Hendrix mood. How about Sima Bustami?

or Steve Lukather

If you remind me of Steve Lukather who worked with Toto, yes he's quite amazing:

not just music also good lyrics.

We still have good music from youngsters, like the time runners.
I myself not just listen to good I also play my guitars when I find the time to play.

I noticed that when I am deprived of more than 6 hours of sleep my guitar improvising playing skills get enhanced.
If only I could play on guitar and bass guitar at the same time, I mean double neck.
one man band with a drummer:

Over the last 8 years or so, I've been seeking new young rock/metal guitarists (with the help of YouTube)
from what would typically be considered surprising places
[like my recent post in the covers thread: Nene Royal #2505 ].
I’m glad that some have gotten to go play here in the US and gain more recognition.

Here's another band I've been following since 2018 or so. They recently experimented with songs with vocals and anime-style songs, but I much prefer their instrumentals.
