Easy calc 3 question: points on a plane

The question asks: Which of the points P(3,2,1), Q(2,3,1),R(1,4,1) lie on the plane 3(x-1)+4y-5(z+2)=0? I know this is a pretty easy problem...but I am drawing a blank on where to start? Should I form vectors from each point ? If so, then what? A little lost! Thanks

Finding Spheres Tangent to Three Coordinate Planes: A Calc 3 Problem

The question asks to find each sphere that passes through the point (5,1,4) and are tangent to all three coordinate planes. How would I set that up? I have no problem finding the equation of a sphere when they give the center point and the radius, of course, but what do I need to know to find...

Finding Perpendicular Vector and Area of Triangle Using Cross Product

I am having trouble setting this problem up. The problem says: Find a vector N that is perpendicular to the plane determined by the points P(0,1,0), Q(-1,1,2), R(2,1,-1), and find the area of triangle PQR. I know that the cross product of two vectors is perpendicular to the plane of a and b...
